Mary's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more pepper, bitter balls, and okra to sell.

Mary's story

This is 38-year-old Mary, from Liberia. She is a single mother with 3 children; they are school going and live at home. Mary went to school up to the 7th grade.

She deals in a business selling pepper, bitter balls, and okra. She has had this business for 15 years. She has been operating her sales and has no problems with her business.

She started to sell with her own savings, and her aunty taught her how to sell. She likes her business because sales are fast.

To maintain her business, Mary requested a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner, to buy more pepper, bitter balls and okra to sell to her good customers.

Her dreams for the future are to build a house and a shop. She wishes to say thanks.
