A loan helped to purchase livestock to increase her income from breeding livestock.

Elmira's story

This pretty woman is Elmira. She is 54 years old, married and her children are grown. Elmira has a high school education and is sympathetic and kindhearted by nature. Since 1991, the main income for her family has been from raising livestock and crops. Thanks to hard work and her husband's help, Elmira has 3 cows, 30 sheep, 3 horses and 1.8 hectares of irrigated land where she grows organic alfalfa.

Elmira has an agreement to deliver organic milk to a local plant for further processing into dairy products. This allows her to continuously invest in her agricultural business. Elmira applied for 150,000 som (KGS) from Bai Tushum Bank after learning that she can receive the loan based on her contract for future deliveries as part of the product "value chain". She will purchase dairy cows to increase her sales of organic milk. Payments for the milk from the plant will be deposited directly into her bank account and loan payments automatically deducted. The income from the loan will help Elmira further develop her farm.
