Rhoda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to access quality farm inputs and services.

Rhoda's story

Rhoda lives with her family in an ordinary mud house in a small village in Katsina state. Farming is the primary occupation in her community. Like many diligent smallholders, Rhoda dreams of expanding her farm business. Due to a lack of access to quality inputs it is difficult for farmers like Rhoda to achieve high yields, so as to increase their income.

As a Babban Gona member, Rhoda's loan will provide her with higher-yielding seeds that are locally adapted and are widely accepted in her local community. She will also have access to the recommended pesticides and fertilizers based on the results of her field assessment. This will enable Rhoda to optimize her yield, increasing her yields of up to twice the national average in Nigeria.

Rhoda is looking forward to a bountiful harvest with lenders' supporting her farming business. Rhoda plans to use the profits from this season's harvest to open an agro-dealer shop.
