Mujeres Unidas Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fabric, thread, elastic, and other products.

Mujeres Unidas Group's story

This committee began as a meeting of friends from the same neighborhood. They are positive that they can improve their quality of life through their collective efforts. They are from the city of Concepción, a difficult area due to the presence of armed groups, but despite this they look for ways to be able to better themselves and get ahead.

Jorgelina is one of them. She is the group's treasurer, and works as a seamstress. She has a modest shop where where she makes sheets, duvet covers, bedspreads, and other items. She's very good at what she does, which is why it's going very well for her.

Her goal is to keep equipping herself and improving, and in doing so continue to help her husband with the household income so that she can provide her children with a decent life.

She is requesting this loan to buy materials such as fabric, thread, elastic, and other items.

Please note: There are just three people in this photograph, but this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group picture in an effort to avoid gathering people together due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
