Marie Antoinette's story

Marie Antoinette is a woman of fifty-three. She is married and the mother of eight children, five of which are already independent. The family rents a small house in a village on the outskirts of the city. She owns a food stand, and has also earned income raising poultry for the past two years. Her husband runs a farm.

Marie Antoinette is partnered with Vahatra. With her last loan she was able to make bricks for construction with her profits. With this new loan, she plans to increase her flock of chickens in order to earn more money. She asks for the support of Kiva lenders in order to purchase 50 chicks and 325 of chicken feed.

After fattening her livestock up, Marie Antoinette will sell them to her loyal clientele in the city. She plans to save her profits in order to fund her future goal of purchasing a plot of cultivatable land.
