A loan helped to buy 30 chicks and feed.

Felana's story

Felana is a young mother at 25 years old. She is separated. She is the sole provider for her only child. She lives in the outskirts of town in her family's home. She is a strong and active woman. She is fighting to provide for the needs and well-being of her family.
To make a living, she has invested in broiler hen farming for three years. She is a borrower with Vahatra. Taking out a loan is necessary in order to increase the number of chickens she has to raise. She wants to improve her living conditions. Therefore, she is asking for the support of lenders to help her finance her farm.
With the money from this loan, she can buy 30 chicks and feed. She will raise the livestock then she will resell them at a local market. Afterwards, she will buy more chicks. She will put money into savings and plans to build her own house in the near future.
