Nee's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fertilizers, bowls, spoons, and equipment for rubber plantation.

Nee's story

Nee is a married woman who lives with her husband and children in a rural community of Surin Province, Northeast Thailand. Her family makes a living primarily through the cultivation of a jasmine rice and a rubber plantation.

Nee's parents and grandparents taught her about rubber cultivation, and then she was inspired by them. This work has provided a sufficient income for her family. However, the price of rubber is plummeting this year. As a result, her income was also reduced. She has no choice but to send her son into town to work as a driver to help her family pay for daily expenses. Nee wants to earn more money to support her family and to improve the quality of latex from rubber so that it can be sold at a higher price. As a result, she applied for a Kiva loan to purchase fertilizer, bowls, spoons, and rubber plantation equipment.

The loan is very important to Nee because it will assist her in improving her business while also supporting her as a local female entrepreneur. She hopes to expand her rubber farm in the future and pass the business to her children when she retires.
