Lasesi's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy pandanus and mulberry for her business of weaving and tapa making and also pay for the exporting of their mats and tapas overseas.

Lasesi's story

Greetings from Lasesi. She and her little family still live under her parent's roof, and she and her mother operate a weaving and tapa making business. Their fishing business still runs and they still earn money from it, but this loan is to be use on her weaving and tapa making.

Lasesi and her mother spend their time together everyday, weaving, and once in a week they join a group of women in their village where they perform the making of tapas. They make tapas every Saturdays and sell it out mainly to overseas customers. Lasesi's aunty reside overseas, and she is where they export their goods to. For her weaving, they only weave taovala and mats, using white pandanus only. Lasesi maybe a young mother, but the work she does shows how mature she is. Her family is important especially her two children. She and her husband are looking for a piece of land to build their own home at.

With this loan, she will be able to buy mulberry and pandanus and also pay for the exporting of their finished mats and tapas overseas. This business pays for her loan well, and she will continue to work together with the loan program for a better tomorrow for her family.
