A loan helped to stock up on 2 bundles of second-hand clothes which will strengthen her initial capital.

Honette Group's story

Ms. Rehema, 39, is a client of the microfinance institute Hekima, and manages the village group “Honette”. She is married and a mother of 4 children who are all in school, Her partner is a shopkeeper.

Rehema sells second-hand clothes. She started this business 13 years ago with the start-up funds received from her mother. Later, she was involved the Hekima program to support her business, during which time she gradually developed it. With this new loan, Rehema will stock up on 2 bundles of second-hand clothes which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of this business is the fluctuating exchange rate.

Rehema would like her children to continue studying, and for her to feed her family. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for their support towards non-bankable entrepreneurs in this context of the global Covid-19 crisis.
