Sylivia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more sport t-shirts, footballs, netballs and other games for resale.

Sylivia's story

Sylivia is 21 years old and lives in the town of Matuga in the Kawempe region of Uganda. For the past two years, Sylivia has been working hard to manage her sports gallery shop, which sales games and sport items.

To help expand her business, Sylivia has requested a loan of 800,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more sport t-shirts, footballs, netballs and other games for resale, and will help Sylivia to generate greater profits, and manage to provide some basic needs for her family. Sylivia hopes that in the future she will be able to become the biggest supplier of sport games in town.

Sylivia is a member of BRAC's Microfinance program (MF). The program primarily serves small Group members like Sylivia who do not have collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
