Mary Gorreth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase enough patterns of clothes for making new dresses.

Mary Gorreth's story

Mary Gorreth is 26 years old and lives in the town of Matuga in the Kawempe region of Uganda. She is married and has two children. For the past five years, Mary Gorreth has been working hard to manage her tailoring, which sews clothes for sale.

To help expand her business, Mary Gorreth has requested a loan of 1,800,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase enough patterns of clothes to make new dresses, and will help Mary Gorreth to generate greater profits and improve on her family's standard of living by providing them enough food.

Mary Gorreth hopes that in the future she will be able to own a bigger designing, tailoring business in her town.
