Marie Therres's story

Marie Therres lives in a rural district that is located over four kilometers outside of Port Vila, Vanuatu. Her community is very small and the main industry is food and agriculture. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been quite alright for one to make income as the demand for local food is high. Marie Therres is 49 years of age and happily married, with six grown children. She resides with her husband and youngest son in her own home.

She has requested a loan to help her pay for a small iron cage to stock her firewood and dry coconut in and also a metal cupboard to stock her bread. This metal furniture will help to provide a safe and orderly service and goods for her store customers.

With her earned revenue, she will renovate her old home. Marie Therres started her business back in year 2000. She also is a local tailor whom the general public use. This is her fourth loan with SPBD - Vanuatu. She has faithfully repaid her previous loans on time.
