Valentina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy flour, sugar, cheese, and sweets for her bakery.

Valentina's story

Valentina is a small entrepreneur who is 22 years old and a resident of the city of Cartagena, where she lives with her family. For the past three years, she has owned a bakery. The idea for this business came about because she enjoys “chepacorinas”, the famous cookies that are made in her birthplace of Carmen de Bolívar. As a child, Valentina learned how to make these cookies and eventually she ventured into selling them and other products from her bakery. Over time, she has managed to solidify her business as a means of making a living. Selling cookies is her only source of income and it has allowed her to contribute to sustaining her household.

Due to biosafety issues caused by the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, her work level declined and her income drastically diminished. For this reason, Valentina applied for her first Kiva loan with Fundación Santo Domingo. Her goal is to invest in the purchase of flour, sugar, cheese, and sweets. Please support her business loan.
