Ivonne Maria's story

Ivonne Maria, age 49, is a micro-entrepreneur living in the city of Soledad with her family. For ten years, she has had a business selling eggs and merchandise. Her idea for a business arose from being a single mother. She saw the need to get ahead.

She began little by little by selling per orders, and increased her capital. Later she entered a program from SENA [National Training Service], where she received training. She has been selling eggs delivered from the countryside, and it permits her to contribute to the support of her household. But due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, her level of work diminished due to questions of bio-security, and her income dropped drastically.

For this reason, she requests her first Kiva loan from the Fundación Santo Domingo, in order to purchase clothes, jeans, blouses, and shorts for the end of year season. Please support her loan; it will be a success.
