Changamuka Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase used shoes, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Changamuka Group's story

Bahati is a client with Hekima and runs the village group, "Changamuka." She is married, 48 years old, and a mother to 8 children who are all in school. Her husband is a storekeeper.

She sells shoes. She started this business in 2008 with her own start-up funds. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business, which has grown gradually. With this new loan, she will purchase used shoes, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge her business faces is a lack of customers.

She would like her children to continue to go to school and to have another business.

Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners without access to traditional banking facilities in the global crisis related to Covid-19.

The photo is only of the group's leader because of Covid-19 to respect social distancing measures.
