Mary's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase cereals such as maize and beans and sell to her local market at a profit for a better life.

Mary's story

Mary is a 67-year-old single mother of five. She is the pillar of her family because she provides for household expenses through her farming business.

Mary makes money selling products from her farm, including milk and crops. As a smallholder woman farmer with such a burden on her shoulders, she finds it difficult to meet their daily needs because of her meager income.

Mary is requesting a loan to buy cereals to sell to her neighbors and in the local market. Her village has a high demand for cereals, but the supply is low.

Mary will use her loan to meet the demand. Through training from Juhudi Kilimo, she has learned about the culture of saving.

Mary plans to use the increased income from her loan to improve her business. This loan will go a long way in changing the lives of Mary and her family.
