Mele's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy mulberry for her tapa (patterned cloth made from the bark of the mulberry tree) making business.
Mele became a mother at a very young age, and hope started to float away from her. Luckily she still has her mother to comfort and encourage her. Her mother is a member of a tapa (patterned cloth made from the bark of the mulberry tree) group in their village, and she introduced Mele to the group to have something to do to make money. Mele got married last year to her husband. She already has the skills and knowledge of making tapas and to become a way to earn money for her family. At the moment she still makes tapas with her mother's group and also manages to make soft tapas and sell them. Mele joined the loan program to have financial support for her business and family. She is hoping to buy mulberry to make more tapas and soft tapas.
