Méline's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for a pig and some fodder for it.

Méline's story

Méline is a 49-year-old woman. She is a widow. Her only child is already independent. Méline lives by herself in her house located in a rural village. She dedicates herself to growing crops and raising livestock. She manages to meet her basic needs.

She takes out loan to use as capital for her business. She is a borrower at Vahatra. She is investing herself more in raising hogs, and this seems fairly profitable to her after having done it for seven years. She fattens pigs to resell. Most recently she acquired farmyard chickens with her profits.

Méline is asking lenders to help her to purchase a pig and some fodder for it. She gives her livestock fodder, bran, corn, cassava, etc. She will sell the livestock to the butcher shop after fattening. She is going to save her profits to purchase a plot of land later on.
