Armand's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy the inputs needed to grow potatoes.
Armand is 39 years old. He is married and has three children. The family owns a house in the countryside, located in a flood zone. Armand is a farmer. He also practices breeding livestock. The profits from these activities cover family expenses. Armand has been a micro-borrower for two years. He works with Vahatra who has already granted him three successive loans to develop his business. Most recently he has been involved in pig farming. He bought a sow (pig) with his profits. He also was able to deposit money into his savings because of this partnership with Vahatra. Armand has not yet achieved financial independence, so he still wants to take this loan to continue expanding his activities. This time, he will cultivate potatoes. He needs seeds, fertilizer and also he will pay a few people to help him with the plowing. He is hoping for the support of Kiva lenders. His goal is to increase his income in order to improve the living conditions of his family. In the long term, he wants to have a herd of cattle.
