Medina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to gain access to cost-efficient hybrid seeds and fertilizer for crop cultivation for this woman with a good credit history.

Medina's story

The story of Medina, a 34-year-old mom of 4 children, is an honest, hardworking, warrior woman who gives everything to raise her children. With very few resources, she has pulled through.

Medina is a responsible and diligent smallholder farmer from Kapsowar. She is involved in dairy and corn farming and she has a side business. Her work brings home essential income. Her family members help with the work.

Medina is seeking a loan to purchase quality farm inputs. Medina will use the money from your loan to buy essential farm inputs, such as fertilizers and pesticides, to manage weeds and preserve harvested produce.

Most microfinance organizations, particularly in the Kitale area of Kenya, don’t give loans to smallholder farmers, but Juhudi Kilimo is different. Juhudi Kilimo is expanding into this market and is happy to provide Kiva lenders with the opportunity to support Kenyan smallholder farmers.
