Mujeres Trabajadoras Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy thread, needles and paints, among other products.

Mujeres Trabajadoras Group's story

This group is relatively new. All the members have the same aim: to be able to grow, not just financially, but personally. They are also part of the Poverty Stoplight programme, fighting for self-improvement and to get ahead.
Carmen stands out for the effort that she makes to get ahead and to better herself. She makes a living making all types of arts and crafts. She mentions that her work enables her to contribute towards the household expenses.
She adds that she has a 14 year old son and that she would like him to enter into a profession which is useful for society and to have a good quality of life.
She is asking for this loan to buy materials for her craft work, such as thread, needles, paints and other products.
Note: There is only one person in the photo, however this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo due to the restrictions in place because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
