Maria Auxiliadora's story

Maria Auxiliadora and her family live in Portoviejo, a city affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016 and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

In her house, Maria Auxiliadora makes and sells a variety of products such as empanadas, corviches, and natural juices, and on the weekends her husband sells coconut water in a small kiosk that is on the main street. Social isolation at first left her without work due to fear of contagion and various restrictions that kept her from going out to sell, but now she is working with bio-security protocols.

This loan is to buy cheeses, bananas, peanuts, disposable plates, oils, bags, etc. Her dream is that her sales will increase again and that her family will have good health.
