Sebukwangali's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to increase working capital to be able to sell on credit.

Sebukwangali's story

Sebukwangali is one of the most successful and influential refugee entrepreneurs in Rwanda. He started with a small grocery store but his business has grown. He has a big general store that supplies to small stores in the district. Sebukwangali has also been a very trusted and loyal borrower from AEC where he has fully paid all of his loans on time. Some of the most significant growth due to the loans is that Sebukwangali was able to introduce money transfer services and open a second business in a different district.

Sebukwangali has also hired 10 refugee employees to work in his different businesses, which has helped them to also improve their livelihoods. During these times of the pandemic, the mobile transfer services have been really helpful to his clients because they can make cashless payments. This makes Sebukwangali stand out from other general stores in the district.

Sebukwangali is requesting a loan to increase working capital to be able to sell on credit. This will help his refugee clients be able to pay for the products purchased once they have received their UNHCR stipend.
