Nirina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy feed for her pig.

Nirina's story

Nirina is 30 years old. She is separated and taking her of her two children on her own. The family lives in a village in the countryside in own home. Nirina has been raising pigs for eight years. She finds this business sufficiently profitable. Her revenues allow her to cover basic expenses such as food, school fees, etc. To make progress, Nirina has decided to take out loans to expand her business. She would like to increase her revenue in order to better provide for her children and also to be able to put money away as savings for future projects. Nirina has found the Vahatra model convincing. She has taken the first loan she used for raising pigs. She has bought a pig to fatten up.

This next loan will help her provide feed for the animal. She will buy food and biological products. She will resell the pig a few months later and buy more livestock. Nirina plans to invest in dairy cattle.
