Abariki Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase 10 cases of beverages and 10 large fish.

Abariki Group's story

Madame Veronique is a client of microfinance institution Hekima and leads the Abariki Group. She is married, 53 years old, and has 12 children, 5 of whom are in school, and 7 who have finished their studies. Her partner is a teacher.

Veronique sells groceries, a business she started 20 years ago with startup funds from her husband. Later, she partnered with Hekima to support her business, and it has grown steadily since. With this new loan, she will purchase 10 cases of beverages and 10 large fish, increasing her working capital. Her business's main challenge is lack of customers.

Veronique would like for her children to continue their studies and to purchase a piece of land. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they give to owners of non-bankable businesses during the global Covid-19 crisis. Only the group leader is shown due to social distancing measures.
