A loan helped purchase variety of stock in larger quantities to meet customer demand.

Millicent Odoom's story

Millicent Odoom is a 22-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother in the Accra district in Ghana. She operates a business selling groceries. With her previous Kiva loan, she purchased items in bulk. She used the profits she earned to support her family. Millicent Odoom is requesting another loan to purchase a variety of stock in larger quantities to meet customer demand.

She plans to reinvest the profit she earns into her business. She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a CAMFED Business Mentor, leading sessions to teach less experienced local women how to become successful entrepreneurs by developing their business acumen and sharing the lessons she learned from operating her business.
