Wabulungu Women's Group-Jinja's story

38-year-old I. Betty is a nice lady. She often flashes smiles at her customers, like in the photo. Unwittingly, this has benefited her 5-year-old local brew sales business, even without her making this deduction. It’s not only Betty who is oblivious to this fact. Many other business people don’t know that certain small things like a smile for your customers does that trick of getting into their good graces. Betty is a mother of four and with 100,000 as profits; she has gotten into a steady but reliable stride. 100,000 shillings is small money by any standard in a fast-paced and rapidly expanding metropolis like Jinja. Betty was at first an agriculturist. She feels she will be empowered by this loan to buy more molasses that she uses to make local brew.
