Abahizi Tcb Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more cooking oil, meat, plantains and maize flour for her restaurant.

Abahizi Tcb Group's story

Gilberte is 55 years old and the mother of four children between the ages of 11 and 22. Her husband is a farmer. For the past seven years Gilberte has owned a restaurant.

Gilberte is the leader of the group ABAHIZI TCB, which means “trusted people” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Gilberte will use her loan to buy more cooking oil, meat, plantains and maize flour to sell in her restaurant within her community. With the profit from her sales, she will be able to provide for her family. She is grateful for the support of the lenders.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group.
