Azara's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped purchase varieties of goods in large quantities to expand her grocery shop.

Azara's story

Azara is a 43-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and two children in Yendi district in Ghana. She operates a business selling groceries. With her previous Kiva loan she bought goods in bulk to increase her profit margin. She used the profit she earned to provide for her family's needs.

Azara is now requesting another loan to purchase a variety of goods in large quantities to expand her grocery shop. She plans to use the profit she earns to support the education of her children.

She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a CAMFED Learner Guide leading life skills sessions, covering active citizenship and personal confidence with students at her local secondary school.
