06_Hlm Ndiambour Group's story

This group is comprised of 20 women who share strong bonds of solidarity and mutual assistance. They live in the same neighborhood and took advantage of an opportunity to join the banc villageois during its formation in their locale in December er, 2008. Their primary activity is small business.

Madame Astou (standing on the far right in the photo with her hand raised) is the group's representative. She is 59 years old, married, and the mother of 8 children, including 3 daughters. She runs a small business serving lunch. She has good experience in this business, having practiced it for several years.

With this new loan, Madame Astou plans to buy rice, oil, tomatoes, onions, and condiments with which she will prepare dishes and sell them to her customers.

With her profits she plans to develop her business, strengthen her savings, and take care of her needs and those of her children.
