Bakoliniaina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for mid-sized pigs, 800 kg of fodder, seeds, fertilizer, manure, and manual labor.

Bakoliniaina's story

Bakoliniaina is a 50-year-old woman. She is married, and the couple have five children of whom four are already independent. She lives in a semi-rural district. For over 26 years, she has been raising hogs and growing carrots. Her husband is a hawker of vegetables.

She is a good partner of Vahatra. She takes out loans to develop her businesses. She wants to improve the family’s income, so she needs the present loan to have more livestock to fatten and to expand her arable land. Thus, she is asking for the support of lenders to finance her plans.

With the loan money, she is going to purchase mid-sized pigs and 800 kg of fodder for them, as well as to pay for seeds, fertilizer, manure, and manual labor. She will resell her livestock to the town butcher shop, and her harvests will be delivered across the country. She envisions buying buildable land with her profits.
