Tuendeleye Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on secondhand footwear.

Tuendeleye Group's story

Ms. Lambertine is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the village group “TUENDELEYE”. She is married, 48 years old, and the mother of ten children, all provided with schooling. Her husband is a civil servant.

A shoe vendor, she began this enterprise six years ago with startup funding from her husband. Later on, she got involved with the Hekima program to support her enterprise and has since been progressing in it.

With this new loan, she is going to get supplies of used shoes, and this will bolster her initial capital. The challenge in her work has to do with a lack of sites for supplies.

She would like to buy a parcel of land and for her children to continue studying. So, she wishes to say thank you to Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners lacking cash during this global crisis related to COVID-19. The photo shows only the group leader due to COVID-19, so as to respect social distancing measures.
