Ukweli Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up with empty bags in bulk, to strengthen her initial capital.

Ukweli Group's story

Marina is a client of the Hekima microfinance institution and the president of the Ukweli village group. She is married, aged 37 years and the mother of 7 children who all attend school. Her partner is unemployed.

She sells empty bags. She started this business 15 years ago with her own start up funding. Later she joined the Hekima programme to support her business. During this time she evolved progressively. With this new loan, she will purchase a bulk stock of empty bags that will strengthen her initial capital. Her business does not have any problems.

She would like for her children to continue their studies and to develop her business. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to business owners who do not have cash flow in the context of the global crisis caused by the covid-19 virus.

The photo only features the group leader to respect the social distancing guidelines linked to covid-19.
