Cristina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to provide capital to buy secondhand goods like clothes, bags and shoes.

Cristina's story

Cristina is a resident of Baybay, Leyte. She is a mother of four children and has earned a living for many years through her sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities and secondhand goods, known as “ukay-ukay” to locals.

Cristina has asked for a loan of 10,000 Philippine pesos (PHP) through Kiva’s field partner, CEV (a microfinance NGO in the Philippines). She will use this loan for additional capital to buy secondhand goods like clothes, bags and shoes.

She wants to improve this business in the future and become even more productive.
