Fabio Andres's story

Fabio Andres is a 30-year-old micro-entrepreneur who lives in the city of Cartagena and has a business selling merchandise of all kinds, like clothing and shoes.

Four years ago, the idea of starting this business was born out of the need to generate income to help his family cover their expenses, since the job that he had was not well paid. With some savings that he had, and being acquainted with some wholesalers, he decided to start a shop. His customers include friends and neighbors from around the area.

But due to the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred worldwide, his work situation deteriorated because of biosafety concerns. He had to close the doors of his business, and his cash flow decreased drastically. Nevertheless, he is in the process of reactivating his operations to meet demand and to benefit from the upcoming Christmas season.

For this reason, he is requesting his first Kiva loan with Fundación Santo Domingo with the aim of investing in the purchase of jeans, blouses, sweaters, and fabrics. Do support him in this loan for his business.
