Tupatane Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up with 5 sacks of rice, Omo, sugar, and flour.

Tupatane Group's story

Ms. Claudine is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the village group “TUPATANE”. She is married, 50 years old, and the mother of eight children, all provided with schooling. Her partner is a mason.

A vendor of goods in general, she began this enterprise in 1999 with startup funding from her husband. Later on, she took part in the Hekima program for supporting enterprises and has worked progressively within it.

With this new loan, she is going to stock up with 5 sacks of rice, Omo, sugar, and flour, and this will bolster her initial capital. The challenges in her business has to do with unpaid debt.

She would like to feed her family and for her children to continue in their studies. So she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners lacking cash during this global crisis related to COVID-19. The photo features only the group leader because of COVID-19, so as to respect social distancing measures.
