Go/011468 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up with 3 bales of used clothing.

Go/011468 Group's story

Ms. Dorcas is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the village group “UJIO”; she is married, 44 years old, and the mother of three children, all provided with schooling. Her partner is an electrician.

A vendor of secondhand clothing, she started this enterprise fifteen years ago with startup funding from her husband. Later on, she got involved with the Hekima program to support her enterprise and has since been working progressively in it.

With this new loan, she will stock up with 3 bales of secondhand clothing, and this will bolster her initial capital. The challenge in her business has to do with the jump in the dollar exchange rate.

She would like to buy a parcel of land and for her children to continue their studies. So she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners lacking cash during this global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo shows only the group leader because of COVID-19, so as to respect social distancing measures.
