Los Independientes Group's story

The communal bank Los Independientes is a new group with a great desire of getting ahead. They consider themselves to be enterprising and responsible people. The group is formed by 6 members who are led by Maria, along with the Treasurer and Secretary. Because of the pandemic, the picture only shows the 3 representatives of the group.

Maria, age 22, is an enterprising and persistent woman. She has 2 young daughters, ages 1 and 6, who are her inspiration and strength to get ahead. She has worked for a while making typical dishes of her town, which she offers to the people so they cooperate. Her goal is to grow and generate more incomes to have a big restaurant.

Maria es requesting a loan to buy more ingredients to continue preparing and selling her dishes, and thus satisfy her customers’ demands. Currently, the prices have increased too much, and she needs to buy in bulk to improve her profits.

She also sells citrus fruit to improve her incomes.
