Ruth's story

Ruth, a 54-year-old mom of five, is a very determined farmer. She also earns some income from a personal business. She knows what it takes to succeed and has great passion for what she does.

Ruth is from Molo where she lives with her family in a humble village. The area is favorable for farming, so she is seeking a 50,000 KES loan through Juhudi Kilimo, a Kiva Field Partner, to purchase inputs. such as fertilizer and seed, to boost her yields and improve her sales.

Being a rural farmer and accessing funds in Kenya, especially around Molo, is very challenging. However, Ruth feels relieved knowing there are institutions such as Kiva that help enterprising women like her. She is always working to improve her living conditions, and her biggest dream is to become independent and support her family.

Kindly lend to this hardworking mom!
