Félix's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy maize from smallholder farmers in his community to sell in the market to increase his family's income.

Félix's story

Félix is a 49-year-old Mozambican man. He lives in Barue, Manica Province with his family. He has worked in agriculture since he was young, learning from his parents the best practices for agriculture. Together with his family, Félix grows cereals such as maize and soy beans to sell in the market. Thanks to this activity, Félix is able to address his family needs. Through his daily work, Felix was able to open a small shop where he sells agricultural inputs for smaller farmers in his village.

Considering his potential and a huge market yet to explore in his community, Félix is requesting a third Kiva loan to buy more maize from smallholder farmers in his community to resell in the market in order to increase his family's income.

Felix already repaid his second Kiva loan. Since he has been attending the financial training facilitated by iDE, the training also helped him to have a better vision about his business and how to engage more clients.
