A loan helped to buy supplies for her food business.

Veronica Mariela's story

Veronica Mariela lives with her family in San Jacinto, a town of fishermen. Here, the economy is based on fishing, salt extraction, tourism, trade, and hand-made products such as fishing nets and small objects made from seashells and snail shells.

Veronica Mariela has a business selling roasted chickens. She works every day in from the afternoon until the night. She also makes roasted meats, pork chops, chicken with rice, lentil stew, salads, and plantains. The shop where she has her business is rented.

Everyone in Veronica Mariela's family was infected with covid-19, but they have all recovered. The social isolation at first left her without work, due to fear of contagion and various restrictions that prevented her from selling, but now she is operating her business while conforming to bio-security protocols.

This loan will be used to buy chickens, dressings, soft drinks, water, beer, disposable plates, containers, covers, etc. Her dream is to have her own shop and see her family in good health.
