Elvira Bernalda's story

Elvira Bernalda and her family live in San Jacinto, which is a village of fishermen. Its economy is based on fishing, salt extraction, tourism, commerce, and crafts such as fishing nets, and, on a small scale, items made from various shells.

At her house and as a street vendor, Elvira Bernalda offers products from Yanbal catalogs (beauty items, cosmetics, perfumes, and women's accessories). She collects weekly.

Of her family, she and her spouse got COVID-19, and are recovered; sadly her mother-in-law died. At first, the social distancing left her without work due to the fear of the virus and various restrictions which prevented going out to sell. But, currently she is working, following the biosafety protocols.

This loan is to purchase orders of lipstick, perfume, shampoo, deodorants, jewelry, etc. Her dream is to own a retail space and for her family to be very healthy.
