Christy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy grocery items like toiletries, spices, eggs, noodles, canned goods, candies, snack foods, and drinks; to buy plywood, paint, and an engine.

Christy's story

Christy is from Concepcion, Iloilo. She is 27 years old and married. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for many years. Meanwhile, her husband works as a fisherman to provide their family’s need.

Now, she asks for a loan of 35, 000 PHP through Kiva’s field partner, CEV (A Microfinance NGO) in the Philippines, which she will use to buy grocery items like toiletries, spices, eggs, noodles, canned goods, candies, snack foods and drinks. The rest of the loan will be used to buy plywood, paint, and engine for their fishing boat.

Christy wants to augment their livelihood in the future and become productive.
