Ladis Maria's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy oil, and bags of cornmeal for arepas [stuffed cornmeal cakes] in order to make food to sell.

Ladis Maria's story

Ladis Maria is a 65-year-old entrepreneur from the city of Soledad. She has a wholesale business selling trays of deditos [fried breadsticks stuffed with cheese], cornmeal dough for arepas [stuffed cornmeal cakes] and arepas ready to fry. She acquired this business through her own resources approximately two years ago. It arose from a need to generate income from home in order to provide a better quality of life to her family because she wasn't able to work in a business due to her age.

Ladis Maria considers herself to be a persevering woman, and has the desire to make her business grow more each day. She dreams of being a great businesswoman and generating employment for women who are heads of household.

Her customers are neighbors from the area and passersby. Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic her business was affected by the number of restrictions imposed by the national government. Accordingly, home delivery was the safest option to keep her business alive and support her family.

For that reason Ladis seeks this loan in order to leverage her business. She will invest in the purchase of oil, and bags of cornmeal to make arepas. Support her.
