Ellen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more red oil, rice, pepper, bitter balls, cubes, soaps, matches and other items to sell.

Ellen's story

Ellen is 37 years old. She is married with two children. 1 of her children is currently attending school while living at home. She attended school up to K2. Her main source of income is her business in which she mainly sells red oil, rice, pepper, bitter balls, cubes, soaps, matches and other items. She started a few years back with an objective of increasing her business.

She has applied for a loan with BRAC Liberia. The loan will be used to purchase more red oil, rice, pepper, bitter balls, cubes, soaps, matches and other items to sell and increase her business. She is hopeful that with an larger inventory, her sales will also improve, and increase her ability to provide financially for her family. She learned the trade from her mother and started selling with some financial help from her husband. Ellen is grateful for the funders' financial support, which will boost her business. In the future she would like to increase her business and continue educating her child.
