Enilda Del Carmen's story

Enilda Del Carmen is a 47 year old micro-entrepreneur and resident of the city of Cartagena where she lives with her partner. Her business is selling a variety of products, clothing, cleaning and cooking products etc. which she has been doing for about ten years. She relocated from the Basurto market to the Santa Rita market. The business grew out of the need to generate income to raise her children. She has always worked in this environment and makes the most of being n a good location to sell to friends and passersby. This business is what allows her to support her household economically thanks to her daily sales. But because of the worldwide spread of the COVID-19 pandemic her level of work decreased due to health concerns and her income diminished dramatically.

She is currently applying for her first loan from Kiva through the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. Her objective is to invest in the purchase of jeans, blouses, sweaters and fabric. Support her with this loan for her business!
