Maima's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more rice, red oil, pepper, onions, and other food items to sell.

Maima's story

Meet 27-year-old Maima from Liberia. She is single with 2 children. Both of her children are currently attending school while living at home. She never had the opportunity to attend school.

Maima runs a business which sells rice, red oil, pepper, onions, and other food items. She has been in this business for the past 10 years now and works 12 hours per day, 6 days a week. She has had no problem with her business.

She requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more rice, red oil, pepper, onions, and other food items to sell and increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help improve their standard of living.

In the future, she would like to continue sending her children to school and build a house. She says thanks and gives appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
