Dorah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase raw materials and food ingredients to stock up her kitchen and better provide for her customers.

Dorah's story

Dorah lives in an urban district, which is just a 10 minute walk to Port Vila city in Vanuatu. Being located near the city, the main industry is service as there are a lot of offices, schools and hospitals located there. Her community is small, and it has been alright for one to make a little income.

Dorah is 57 years old and has been single all her life. She does not have any children of her own, but she helps her sister care for her children. She lives in her own home with her sister and her children in a community land.

Dorah has requested a loan to purchase raw materials and food ingredients to stock up her kitchen to provide delicious, mouth-watering food for her customers and to increase her earnings. With her earned revenue, she will pay for her niece's school fees.

Dorah did not get the chance to obtain a good education so she desires for her nieces and nephews to have an adequate education. This is her fifth loan with SPBD - Vanuatu. She has been devoted to repaying her previous loan in a timely manner.

Through her loans, Dorah feels motivated to continue with her business so she can continue to support her nieces and nephews for a brighter future.
