Leisave's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for retail goods to stock her small shop and increase her income.

Leisave's story

Leisave lives in a rural suburb which is located 60 kilometres out of Port Vila, a city of Vanuatu. Her community is large, and the main industry is agriculture. People of Vanuatu rely on agriculture for food and income, so one could make some money despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Leisave is 27 years old, happily married and has a son who is 5 years of age. She lives with her family in her parent's house.

Leisave has asked for a loan to help her purchase retail goods so she can stock her small shop to better provide for her customers and increase her income. She wants to increase her goods to attract more customers. This will help increase her income, which she will use to start building her family their own home. Leisave has her husband and younger sister as her helping hands. She dreams of enlarging her shop to become the largest retail shop in her community. This is Leisave's third loan with SPBD - Vanuatu. She has faithfully repaid her previous loans on time. Through her loans, Leisave feels empowered to expand her business so she can improve the living conditions for her family.
