Christine's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy mulberry for her tapa-making business and also renovate her kitchen for her baking business.

Christine's story

Christine is a 23-year-old mother to her two children. She is married to a farmer, and they live at their own home with her parents-in-law.

Christine and her mother-in-law join a group of women in their village, where they perform the making of tapas once a week. They make more than one tapa, and then design them and sell them to local and overseas customers.

Christine also has expertise in baking. She bakes cakes, pies and other baked goods, and then sells them in the village retail stores. She also has customers who order what they like, and she bakes according to their orders. She may be a young mother, but she is very talented with her hands, and surely does make a living from it.

Her tapa-making knowledge was taught to her by her mother. She applied for this loan to buy mulberry for her tapa-making, and also to renovate her kitchen and provide new cooking and baking tools for her business.

To become a successful mother and businesswoman is her dream.
